Prerequisites

To use Consensys Staking, you must be using a supported wallet and browser, and have an execution layer address.

Web​

Chrome is the recommended browser:

  • Windows: Chrome version 87.0.4280.66 or newer.
  • Mac OS: Chrome version 87.0.4280.67 (Official Build) (x86_64) or newer.
caution

Linux is currently unsupported by the UI.

Wallets​

You have one of the following wallet options installed, set up, and functioning:

  • MetaMask
  • Ledger via MetaMask
  • MetaMask Institutional, including connected custodian accounts
  • A WalletConnect-supported wallet or custodian.
note

To use our integration, the amount you plan for each stake must be in a single wallet.

Withdrawal key generator​

  • An execution layer (Eth1) address that you control.
  • Your own BLS withdrawal key generation, signing and storage capability with access to the public key.

tip

We recommend not using a BLS withdrawal key unless you wish to exclude yourself from the automated withdrawal processes.
